Will I ever get stronger ?

Gym - no, I'm all home video

I'm a 43 yr old legal secretary. I do a lot of walking, carry library books and groceries home, but that's aboyut it for activity level (I exercsie 6 mornigns a week).

I should have said before - I'm lo-tone - my whole life, I wasn't as strong and fast as everyone else....
 
and as i understand it you have no shooting pain doing any of thoes other activitys. a grocerie can easly be 10-20ibs.
you age is fine was almost expecting 80-95 years old, so thats fine.
no ailments apparently.
this situation is still odd in that you have pains, while lifting a 25ibs item.
the only thing i can think of is what has been mentioned. to push throught eat more and progress.

only thing i can think of is your energy level is it about the same as your co-workers or faimily??
 
a lot of drs say that working out with 10 lbs of weight, 5 lbs each arm or leg, is sufficient. no, i hve had no previous injury or pain (less some knee pain when doing aerovics every day back in the mid 80's.)

are you all telling me that with my workout schedule, i should be able to shlep a box of soda or seltzer with no pain ?

Yesterday, I carried 8 boxes of 12 cans coke at once into my house. I didn't feel any pain whatsoever.

If you're hurting, perhaps you're lifting incorrectly. When lifting objects off the ground, you should be using your legs more than any other part of your body. 25 pounds can easily cause injury if lifted incorrectly, even more "strong" people.

Anyway, if you're complaining about pain in picking up common things, why not "train as you fight?" What I'm getting at, if you want to get better at lifting sodas off the ground... why not lift sodas off the ground?

Also, as some people state, perhaps it's some medical trouble. Check it out. Use common sense: if it hurts, don't do it.
