Wii fit

Anyone else have this great software? It really does work IMO.

I've only got an 11" by 9" tv, but the friendly graphics and games still really motivate me, so I''m guess on a wide screen plasma tv or whatver its amazing :driving:

People think some or all excerises on the game are pointless, for example jogging all you do is run of the spot. But it really works! the cute little (or big, depending on your tv size lol) island with canyons and towns and a bridge and dogs and other "mii"s really keeps you interested.

I genuinly* believe believe it has played a major part in my 12lb weight loss over the past 3 1/2 months .

I recomend this to all looking for motivation to lose weight, and a bit of fun.

*yeah...I can't spell...

I just did it for the first time last night and I am sore this morning! I also lift weights and do elliptical, but I did stuff that I don't normally do - the yoga stretches, balance activities and a couple of strength exercises in addition to the running in place. I was sweating! I liked adding it to what I normally do.

I am a strong believer in the Wii fit and attribute it to much of my success. This thing is an outstanding tool and really helps you break a sweat and tone up. I've found that the best weight loss exercise on there is the 10 minute Super Hula! I am literally dripping with sweat when I finish that routine.

Also I find it easier to be motivated by a video game since I am a huge gaming fan. I religiously use this thing for a minimum of 30 minutes a day.

I have the Wii fit but its in Japanese so I don't use it often although I use the weight measurement. Since you guys recommend it I will give it a shot when DH is home to help though. The one I use a lot is the Wii Shape Boxing which is awesome!!

Phew! I just had a workout: some balance games, short jogging, two 3-min super-hulahoops and 3 regular hulahoops. That's all. And I'm panting.

slickg, you must be fitter than me because I'd collapse about 3/4 of the way through that!

Has anyone else tried the island lap? It's really not too bad, maybe just because I'm used to speed-walking miles at a time on the treadmill (Which I currently can't use ), but I really didn't find it as bad as everyone said it would be. Tiring? yes, but not completely "omg omg omg kill me now to stop the pain" tiring.

The jogging is cool...I actually use the free run instead and just set it to 10 minutes. You can either watch the screen or you can turn the channel on the tv and watch something else. It pipes the audio through the wii controller and let's you know when the time is up that way.

yeah, unlocked that yesterday but haven't used it yet. I'm planning on moving the Wii to the house television, where I can actually watch channels (my lil one just serves as a moniter) it'll be easier to watch stuff, rather than just squinting at my laptop as the dvd plays. Free step is great.

My wii fit has mostly turned into a very expensive scale that remembers mine and my husbands birthday ..

Damn. I need to get more use out of it.

I also put a preorder on EA Sports Active since it looks like it will be pretty good. Hopefully it will live up to its billing unlike the other one from Jillian.

Here are my results after 14 days with the Wii Fit so far as my primary workout routine.

It's definitely helping so far...that's for sure. Along with a balanced diet and using the thing 30-60 min a day it seems to be working.
