this sounds like the start of a ruptured tendon, if you find that you can't lift as much without the pain comming back then it's a sure bet. and you should see your doctor soon. from the sounds of it you only got close to rupturing it. so in the future you need to be stretching, cause if it does rupture you may never fully recover.
the common symptoms you might feel are.: Sudden, sharp pain, tenderness. if it does snap the signs are: Sometimes, an audible snap. A bulge in the upper arm above the elbow, and a dent closer to the shoulder. Bruising from the middle of the upper arm down toward the elbow.
if you describe what happend in more detail I will be more accurate. like how much weight, and what have you been lifting, age, detailed description of the pain where it was exactly (IE: a stinging sensation right were the muscle meets the elbow on the inside lasted for this ---- much time, felt realy hot in a thin line from my elbow to 2 inches up the inside of my are) just and example get really detailed.
