Wide Load reporting for Duty

Thought I'd drop by and say Hi, currently in the process of absorbing all the information, stories and advice I can from these forums I just discovered today.

I'm 27, around 310lbs (145kg for us Metric-ies). I've tried weight-loss/fitness-gain before, but the psychological aspects normally throw a spanner in the works, as did living at home and not being in complete control of what I eat.

Hoping a new outlook, some personal goals and living on my own will let me overcome that this time.

Thanks for listening :)

ahahahaha, some of the oddest things strike me as funny and your title + cadet smiley really struck.

Welcome to the forum!!

Hey Michael,

Welcome to the forum!

We've got about the same amount of weight to lose. Good luck! It's good that you're getting well educated and reading up on what's been said. There's some good stuff in them stickies!

I'm a fellow Metric-ie having to learn about all this pounds nonsense..haha

Hi guys,

Thanks for the kind words of support. I worried a little bit as my sense of humour can get me into trouble and using terms like "wide load" I thought might upset people.

I figured though, that even though we all have unique stories, we're here to lose weight and as everyone says, the first step is admitting there's a problem, etc, etc.

As I said, thanks again and I'll see you around the forums :)
