So I usually weigh myself at the gym (typical scale...where you move those thingys over...lol) and its usually been around 190-195 depending on the day.

But today I went to the doctors and they weighed me 200IBS!!!!! OMFG what the hell is that....basically i felt like shit/fat/gross disgusting after that....

I know scales can be different...but it was a doctor office scale (you step on a black stand and it shows the weights on a screen above the stool thing)

So thats like a 10ib differance...i feel like im back to square one...and nothing ive done has counted at all...

WHY!!! uugggg im so frustrated right now...

Hey Kate,

then you know one of your little problem to your weight now. Your old scale hide your eyes and become obstacle to your weight loss way. C'mon, get a new scale and keep going.

Take a deep breath Kate and chill..

Every scale is goingto give you a different result - get over it... Seriously... it doesn't mean you gained 10 pounds it just means that the other scale has you at a different starting point...

Are you seeing results on your scale? Is thatmoving on a consistent basis?

Then that is all that matters..

Run, don't walk, to the thread entitled SCALE MENTALITY and read it 10 times... and ingest the material in it...

It could be fluid that you drank before you went to the doctor. Also what you are wearing and shoes could play a factor. I know that I can weigh myself before I goto bed and when I weigh myself in the morning I drop 2-3lbs.

I never never never look at the scale in the doctors office. I use one scale and never step on another one. I know the differences are meaningless so I don't let myself get upset over it.

I just experienced that last night actually! I decided to get a digital scale because I thought it would be easier to read, probably more accurate, and because all the scales at wal-mart were $20, and that one was $43 last week.

Well, the digital scale says I'm about 6lbs heavier than the ticky scale, but that's alright with me, because the digital scale is going to be my main scale from now on, and I know I still lost 6lbs, it was just a different 6lbs than I originally thought.

Just worry about what one scale says, it'll make your life easier :).

Edit: Even moving your own scale around in your own house can change your weight a bit. It's most fair to weigh yourself under the same conditions every time.
