Why don't I seem underweight?

Couple years back I weighed 233, 6'0 tall, now I'm 6'0 140 pounds...Which is underweight for my height (BMI RATE of 19, under 20 = underweight), but it seems most of the fat I lost was all in my arms/legs some on my chest and stomach and stuff, but I still have a little pouch stomach, I don't see myself as fat but it looks like I am, it was recomended that I gain some more weight, but at the moment I'm trying to maintain it. (2500 calorie diet) and have reduced my cardio workouts by A LOT, moderate activity level now.

I guess all bodies just look different? Mine wasnt ment to look 'slim' I guess :p Maybe I should start weight training and doing some ab workouts or something? Gain some mass I suppose? Confused on my next move, done with losing fat, maybe you all can enlighten me :)

Well, first off, congratulations on the weight loss.. Don't worry about your BMI classification.. If I could have it my way, I would love to take BMI out of the books (and i'm sure a lot of other people would agree with me)... Biggest thing that you might want to do is get your percent body fat checked... that's a more accurate measure as far as "weight" is concerned...

"The next step" is up to you on what you would like to be... 6 foot and only 140 pounds even sounds a little 'skinnny' so it wouldn't be a bad idea to put on some muscle that why it will be easier to maintain your weight too... Just keep your same caloric intake, and you've already dropped back on the cardio and then just pick up the weights a little more... even do like 4 days of weights and 1-2 days of cardio... Other than that.. Keep Up The Good Work! :D

One of my good friends is almost 6' 4'' and 140 lbs. Other than having his lung collapse (which is a dangerous thing) he is healthy.

Tall slender people usually have lung collapses more so than other's, muscle and weight gain I would think can help that though.
