hi.... i want to know that why do we get out of shape when we leave body building and exercises? even if we follow a strict diet plan?

Hi Daniel. I am not sure what your question is exactly, because getting out of shape and losing/not losing weight are 2 rather different issues. I will try to answer from the little I know on the subject.

Basically, when you quit exercising for a long period of time, your body will not perform as it was used to; everything tends to get a bit "lazy". There's many changes that occur in your body: your lung elasticity and capacity decreases, which makes it harder to breath and can lead to side aches. The muscles lose their elasticity as well, which can get them to be stiff, and you are more likely to experience strain and injury. The amount of blood pumped decreases and therefore the blood vessels become smaller and less efficient, causing the heart to work harder to provide oxygen to your muscles, hence a high pulse. These are mainly the reasons why one should return to exercises slowly rather than jumping right back into what they used to do before they stopped. The human body is very adaptive and will usually return to normal level of fitness in about 6 to 8 weeks, but you need to start slowly and not put too much strain on your muscles or organs right away.

As for the strict diet plan, that is a slightly different issue. I am not very knowledgeable about this, but from what I know the main reason why you can't really be in great shape only by dieting without any exercises is the fact that your body tends to comsume both fat and muscle mass alltogheter when you're dieting, unless yo do something to improve your muscles and tone them up.

Hope that helps a bit.
