Whooo Hooo ! Got my Bowflex :)

I have a buddy who is absolutely ripped, using primarily just a Bowflex. So, I looked around just a bit, and found one in great shape.... the guy said he paid $1300 for it two years ago. I got it from him for $450. I think I could have looked around a little longer, and maybe got one for even a little cheaper, but I wanted it now, and now I'm glad I got it.

Anyway, my ripped buddy, set me up a 3 day on (each day is different muscle groups) and 1 day off, plan. The 1 day off will be hard-core cardio. But I plan to add some cardio back in on some of the Bowflex days too, as soon as I get myself used to it, and past the soreness.

Right now, I'm just trying to figure out what tensions are good for me, for each of the different exercises. I think I'll be whipping on that thing (or... on myself ;)) in about 3 weeks.

Don't know if I can get as ripped, and lean as my buddy (genetics ?) but I'm sure going to give it 110% ! What the hey, if I can only get 3/4's of what he has, that will still be better than the vast majority of the general public ! {especially for an old guy ...will be 46 next month.

Anyway, here's my new baby....

Just remember diet is a large part of looking ripped too!

Oh yes, totally ! My buddy says this all the time. In reality, he only has 17 3/4" arms (he had 19 1/4" arms 20 years ago) but he is SO lean, and cut, that he looks like his skin is going to explode, and he's always stressing that that's all from his diet.

So yea', the only changes I'm making to my diet, is that I'm adding a couple more scoops of whey protien... and a little casein protein, before bed.... or, and some creatine.

Nice man. I totally feel you too. I used to live with 2 brothers who were jacked. Used to drive me CRAZY. I swear, they would eat more crap and drink more beer than anyone I knew. But these guys are still CUT. So yea, its a little motivation to join the club when you have people like that around.
