You are missing a vital part of your weight workout routine. Legs. And you are also missing some core exercises(deadlift). You didn't mention how your diet was, as this is the most important factor in weight loss.

1) Get your diet posted (how many meals, what you eat, total cals etc).
2) Add a leg workout to your routine (squats are a must), I would also recommend lunges.
3) Make sure you are drinking lots of water and taking a multi-vitamin.

Your cardio looks good but I think you need a little more research/assistance in building your free weight routine. Some guys here will have some excellent suggestions.

nutritiona, water etc are all on track or at least, im working towards it.

The circuit training is mostly leg work, 3 out of the 4 groups of exercise are leg based, includind dead lift, squat, the leg-push machine (think i need to learn some more lingo!) and the standing lifting all involved a bend or squat of the knees.

I got it from a well known Mens Health magazine, it said that it concentrates on the leg and buttock muscles as these are areas that can be developed to burn fat most effectively - the same areas that are my main target areas.

the old system was ok but i never felt like i was getting a full body workout; the new way makes me knackered everytime.

thanks
ben
