Which one?

I've always wanted to know which one is more important when it comes to treadmills; how long you work out on it, or how many miles you go. I used to only stay on for a mile (which was like 30 minutes). Now I go for a whole hour (which is a little over 2 miles). Also, my favourite machine to use at the gym is the bikes. I usually ride for 5 miles. I wanted to know which burns more calories; bikes or treadmills.
 
For equal distances and intensities, you'll burn more on the treadmill since you're moving more of your own body weight.
