Hello everyone I just recently decided I wanted to start losing weight and I was wondering where most people typically start. I did find a product that looks promising but i'd like to have other peoples opinions on it first. LINK REMOVED My goal is to lose 50lbs preferably fast but I know that can be hard. Any tips would be appreciated

Start by taking a good look at what you are currently eating, pick one small thing you can change, change it, make the change a habit and move on the the next small change you can make.

Hi any tips on what foods to eat and what should you avoid? thanks
hey there, i recommend you stay away from sugary foods because sugar increases weight gain causing your body to store more fat then normally would and i also think you should know the difference between healthy and non healthy fats because there are some fats that are needed to stay healthy and some that can just aid to extra weight gain and other problems. Here is an article on them

Hi Johnny

It is best to start by cutting down on the meals you normally eat especially the sugary ones. I wanted to lose 30Ibs when I started it was really hard I did not have any confident in myself but after I change my diet and started exercise it gets pretty easy and it is the norm for me now.

Eventually I wanted to lose more weight and my friend recommended me to a program; which is very good I used to weight 170Ibs now I am 142Ibs. I am 5'3 so being that size I was over weight at 170Ibs.

The work program book as three section to it such as:

1. Diet
2. Exercise
3. Willpower, Motivation and Mind-set

I am completely satisfied with my result if you are interested you can have a look this was the link that my friend send me Link removed I feel confident in myself once again.

Kind Regards,

Amber

The main thing is creating a deficit. The higher your body fat percentage (you don't need to get it done properly just simply look it up on google and measure what you look like compared to the pictures given) the higher the caloric deficit you can go into without the negative metabolic adaptations that can occur. These will happen don't get me wrong but it won't be as quick. Now that you have sorted that out create that deficit. So simply take your bmr then add your activity levels on top of it 1.2 for sedentary 1.4 for moderately active 1.6 for active and 1.8 for extremely active. This will be your TDEE. Now from here take your TDEE and take your deficit away from it e.g. tdee is 2200 and your deficit is going to be a 20% deficit = 1760. Training wise I would have resistance training in there as the preservation of muscle tissue is massive in your ability to look good at the end of it and it will also keep metabolic rate higher. Avoiding resistance training and only utilising cardiovascular work could potentially lead to tissue loss if done for too long whilst in a deficit. Bring your steps to 7500 or above but don't go crazy. Then literally track from there. I would also include some cardiovascular work in there as well and would do 3x weight training (full body workouts) and 2x per week cardiovascular work as you want to increase aerobic respiration which will increase energy used outside of training sessions if keeping stress levels down. Also focus on lifestyle management e.g. stress and sleep as these can hinder your results and your ability to lose body fat. I know this sounds very long winded but it should help. Any questions message me mate :)

I just lost 15+ kg in about 3 months and did it all the wrong way. I was doing about 800 calories per day and was not so bad eating things with low calories but enough food that I was not hungry. Probably not the smartest but I wanted to take the weight off.
