Where are all the Alabamians?

I didn't see Alabama represented in the topic headers. I know you are out there, I've seen you on the streets and in the stores, and you, yes you, in the line outside the ice cream shop.

I live in Pelham (very south end of Birmingham before you get out of the metro sprawl)

I would love to meet others from anywhere in AL and especialy those close enough to meet face to face. I would like to get a group together to meet every week or so to socialize. I am thinking dinner party. We make a meal plan then split up a grocery list for people to bring items to the next dinner and we all chip in and make a healthy meal together. What a great way to share our favorite dishes with others.

I would also like to meet others to help me in my exercise regime. I like to lift weights (member at Powerhouse currently until my membership expires and will jump ship to Golds, they have a pool). I also want to get into walking more.

So, where you at Alabama?

I just read the title of this thread and thought for about 3 seconds..

there are a couple of your people around here :)

I am from Andalusia, if you know where that is. :)
I wouldn't mind meeting others from Alabama sometime, although I can't cook! No matter how easy mal says it is ;P

Sorry Mal, you are correct. Alabamans, not Alabamians. But what can you expect, I am originally a Wisconsinution:doh:

The inside of the crypt is silent and still with the dust of countless ages standing, rank and file, where it had been arrayed centuries before by the unseen hands of that general, fate. The quiet is pierced by a boom and a shudder, shaking through the earth and shattering the formations of countless dust armies. The massive gates slide asunder and a dark figure in blackest robes steps inside.

His visage is hidden by the hood of his robe, yet his very figure seems to emanate malice and wrong; some ancient and primal foreboding having taken up residence as his shadow. From the shadow recesses of his robe he begins to produce various bottles and bags, from which be begins to pour forth chalks and ashes, incenses and other darker things. As he works the shadows themselves begin to stir within the crypt - a nether whispering of the coming evils.

He begins to chant, vomiting forth words first in a language foul and blasphemous. The earth shudders again and a noxious vapor forms as the chanting continues. The volume and intensity raise as he shifts to a recognizable language.

"Arise, oh yeah ancient dead interred here, arise and do my bidding. All ye Alabamans, arise and walk again. Pry off your couch all ye Alabamians, and join again the living"

Hehehe, sorry, thread necromancy makes me smile.

Anyways, AL type person here, sitting in Huntsvegas.

This thread hasn't been been used in over a year, but I wanted to represent... I live in Montgomery (though I grew up in Georgia).
