When you believe in yourself anything is possible.
By Nelson Roque
Do you believe in yourself? Self-esteem is an important part of personal happiness and a healthy lifestyle.
There are times when we believe in everything and everybody except ourselves. There is a frequent search for mentors and role models when they live within us. The cruelest defeat that we take is the one that we cause upon ourselves. We make one mistake and we count ourselves out before the referee can blow the whistle.
Is self doubt still sabotaging you? If so, get rid of it. I hear you saying, "I have made so many mistakes, I have failed so many times." This is a common phrase that has been said faithfully by many people. But, you are not alone. We've all made many mistakes but . . . the more mistakes you make . . . the more self-doubt and less confidence you will have in yourself.
Visualize yourself as a confident person free from self-doubt. Hold this vision everyday until it sinks into your heart. Whenever negative thoughts about yourself enter your mind, erase them right away.
When you get up in the mornings get a clear picture of a self-image in your mind. What do you want to achieve today? Write it on a piece of paper and post it on the refrigerator, mirror or someplace in your room. Engrave it on your heart.
It is therefore important to believe in yourself and in your capacity to perform to the best of your ability. When faced with any situation, always believe in yourself because:
1. No one else will, until you do first.
2. You owe it to yourself.
3. Life is what you make it.
4. You have dreams and aspirations.
5. Others are watching and waiting to applaud you.
When you start to believe, you will start to receive.
“Knowing is not enough, we must apply. Willing is not enough, we must do.” - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself. - George Bernard Shaw
