When Stressed: What do you do? ugh

I have been really stressed lately. Lost a long time friend, My mother is sabotaging my diet, I am letting her by eating what she brings in. I am so sad and upset. I dont know what to do. My motivation is low. I need to get out there tomorrow and I am going to force myself to get out, once I go I keep going. But What do you do when you feel like the world is crumbling down around you?

Aww, i'm sorry you feel that way hun. I can't believe your mom would sabatose you! How sad.

I guess the only advice I can give you is maybe take a step back and look at your life. What kind of blessings do you have (kids, health,friends ect) and how far you've come in loosing weight! 25 pds is awesome!! I guess what I mean is try to look more at the big picture and maybe these things that are stressing you won't seem like that big of a deal after all. Take it from me...once I lost 30 pds and felt so great, i got deppressed one day and it was done...i've gained 45 pds back!! SO please, don't do that!

I actually have lost over 40 pounds, probably a good reason to keep trecking ..... my bf although thinks I want space and he has stopped talking with me, I dunno what to do ...

I dont feel so alone
yes she is doing it... she was showing her jealousy last night and I filled up too much today and I had supper and she asked if I was going to touch the yogurts .. she knows usually I eat all my yogurts in one night, but I am not touching anything tonight. I will have a yogurt with breakfast .. one yogurt a day ..

I have always believed in the saying misery loves company. I have had other overweight people try to pressure me into eating things I don't want so they don't feel as bad. I guess you have to stand by your diet/life changing decisions and press on.

But to answer your question a few rounds on my punching bag always relives the stress of the day for me. Or cleaning my room for some reason. Maybe the feeling of accomplishment counteracts the stress lol.
 
I own a motorcycle, when I feel stressed out I go for a ride. Nothing like keeping an eye on every other fool on the road that is trying to run you over to take your mind off of your other stresses ;)

Keep your chin up, it will get better, it always does!

Congrats on losing over 40 pounds! I can't wait until the day I can say that!
 
I dont feel so alone

People often feel depressed because they think they are some how singled out in their sufferings. they think things only happen to them and no one else in this world. The "Why me?! feeling. its a shitty feeling. I use to think like that. This is how I deal with stress these days: I consider it a part of life...not just mine but everyone elses...then I try to deal with the cause of the stress logically rather than emotionally.

I run. When I'm stressed to the point of emotional frustration, I pound out my anxiety on the treadmill. It really helps calm me. I love it. I'm addicted to it, and it's not unhealthy for me. LOL.
