wheel barrowing[yard work]

Hello Everyone,

My dad and I tore down a cinder block wall and I was just wondering if wheel barrowing the blocks 4 acres away in a pile is a good type of exercise? I moved about 40 wheel barrows today and noticed my muscles really tensed. Would anyone know the amount of calories I burn?

holding a wheel barrow, where your joints arn't moving is called a static or isometric exercise. Your feet moving around like that is a dynamic exercise. both types will burn calories. o yes no one will know how much calories you will burn, it's like asking( how well did I do at work today? I did some things and such? ) not enough info.
 
right, dont know about the calories but wheel barrowing is good honest hard work. alot of ppl use it as a form of exercise. wheel barrows, digging a hole in the ground, sledgehammers, etc good stuff. :)
