What's Your Biggest Frustration?

Hi Everyone,

I know how frustrating it can be to stick to a fitness program - it's something I've struggled with my entire life.

I've been doing a lot of research on the subject and I'm writing a new book about strategies that work for getting motivated to exercise. I could really use your help in putting the finishing touches on it.

If you have a spare minute, could you visit and let me know what your biggest frustration is? In exchange for answering this simple question, you'll be entered into a drawing to win a free copy of the book.

Thanks so much for your help and support!

Sarah

I don't think you are allowed to post that link unless you have permission. Once you get that cleared up, I'll answer the question.

I'm sorry - my mistake. I'll look into getting the proper permissions and repost this.

Thanks for your help!

I'm not intending to sound like a smart ass when I ask this question but - I dont know how to ask it any other way...

not that you need them because from what I've seen in the bookstores, anyone can write a book and get it published if it's got the right title and cover art...

-b ut what makes you qualified to write a book on this topic? or rather what is your background?

what angle are you taking on this book?

from your own personal perspective - and how you overcame obstacles or from a psychological aspect relying on the results of studies and such?

There's probably a thread or two here on this topic already and as a moderator I'll tell you I don't object to the link so much-but I'd prefer the topic be discussed here rather than taken off site for your own benefit.

I'd like to see you join the community rather than just use the community as a bit of a lab rat.. and at 77 posts -- you're starting to immerse yourself..

The topic can stay, but I'd also like the discussion to stay here as well and just ensure thata people are aware that their answers might be used in a book.

One frustration I've encountered with trying to lose weight is how prolific unhealthy eating habits are. One example: At my work, in order to celebrate being the safetest workplace in the region, the management decided to get a huge cake, pizza, pop and donuts for the staff. I don't so much object to having those things around because I'm very focused in what I'm doing, but I do object to the fact that they didn't have healthy choices alongside (ie: vegetable platter, fruit platter, bottled water). I guess the frustration is that the unhealthy lifestyle I'm fighting so hard to get away from is thrust in my face on a regular basis.

I know just what you mean. I got an idea from watching the biggest loser show where one of the guys suggested when you know this is going to be an issue to bring your own healthy snacks, so that may be helpful to get through those times without messing up your diet.
