Whats wrong with GNC???

Every time I hear GNC mentioned its in a negative way.
Ive recently got a gold card and find the service and price ok.

Is there something I'm missing???

When replying plz state wether you live in UK, USA or otherwise.

I live in the USA.

The mentality of GNC's here in the states have been mostly the same. Rather than sell you the best possible product you can buy for your money, they steer you towards the products that make them the most money, namely their Pro Performance (if thats what they still call it) brand of products. I went in there a few weeks ago pricing ON, the guy working there actually told me that I didn't want ON, it was crap, and I'd be better off buying their brand. I told him I'd rather have the ON and I was just checking price, he pointed at the protein, and walked back to the counter. I pointed at the door, and walked out. I've been in 4 different GNCs and they all seem to have the same attitude. They treat us like were morons, and when we show a little bit of intelligence, they have no use for us anymore. Thats just my experience.

O I C,

Well ive only ordered there stuff off the internet, and it seems to be ok, however ive recently started buying my protien from health food stores as they always have some sort of sale promotion.

Thanks for info aevens

yeah but what i found is this...

In stores its slightly more expencive, but if there's a deal on its usually buy 1 get 1 free or half price.

and online its slightly cheaper but you pay £3.50 for delivery, i only buy 1or2 tubs at a time plus a few vits so buying instore works out much much cheaper.

Not trying to advertise...

Not trying to advertise but... ...cheapest stuff and shipping no more than $6 (get it in about 3 days). They have specials, and I've found most of the products $10-$15 cheaper.

I have only good things to say about my GNC. I live in the UK and, with my gold card and various promotions I have always found the prices just as reasonable as on the net. Also, the staff seem to direct me towards the Met-RX stuff, but as fas as I know that has no connection with GNC...

It all depends on the quality of the staff, whether you're shopping at GNC, Wal-Mart or wherever. If you employ commissioned salespeople, there could be the tendency to have them sell the items that make them the most commission. That being said, if you employ commissioned salespeople who care about their job, and care about helping their customers, you will usually get the right advice, and receive the correct product for your needs.

Remember this - if you are a commissioned salesperson, and you sell your customer the right product, regardless of your commission, you will likely get repeat business from that customer. If you sell your customer the wrong product just to make the commission, and this product does not measure up, your customer may go elsewhere.
