What's the difference...

Is there a difference between doing crunches with your feet on the floor and crunches with your legs up and bent like you're sitting in a chair?

Yea, having your legs up works the lower abs a little more than basic crunches. Although a good exercise for the lower abs would either be leg lifts, or pikes which work all of the abs. A pike is where you lay flat on your back with legs up, perpendicular to the ground, and you reach up and try to touch your toes and go back down. They're tough!
