Whats gonna happen if...

to turn to catabolism during your sleep?

i have fat and muscle... is there any chronical order in which our mind tells our body to eat ourselves in?

If it's any consolidation to you the body burns fat as a fuel source at rest. Catabolism is not a huge deal, if you are worried about it...have some cottage cheese before bed, that will help.

Yup it's usually 50/50 @ rest... Protein is very limited on the amount of energy it can produce, so usually the body goes to fat first.. The cottage cheese not only helps prevent catabolism (like evo said) it also helps keep the body in an anabolic state..

That's what i've been reading this whole muscle Catabolism is way overated. Especially if you have ample amounts of bodyfat.

The main time your mucles repair/rebuild is when you are in a deep sleep.

Eating or drinking something before bed will help encourage this process.

There is no order in what source your body will use for energy, it will burn everything (fats, carbs, proteins) all the time. It is only the ratio's that change based on your diet and activity level. Generally your body will burn a very small amount of protein, unless you get very stressed, (physically or emotionally), or have 5-6% bodyfat or lower.
