I set myself a goal of losing 55 Lbs last week and a week later have shed 6 Lbs.
Here are some things that have helped me so far.
1. Eat 3 meals a day
2. I have cut out the following snack foods completely - chocolate, ice cream, biscuits, crisps
3. Reduced my intake of bread
4. 20 mins of jogging on the spot in my living room in the morning (a relaxed but constant pace just enough that I get a sweat on half way through)
5. 20 mins of jogging on the spot in my living room in the afternoon
6. Swap real milk for soya or almond milk in my tea and on my cereal
7. Have breakfast (I used to always skip it and now have fruit and/or cereal every morning)
8. Make lunch my main meal of the day
9. No alcohol (not strictly - I had a large whisky at the weekend)
10. Drink lots and lots of water
