I havent browsed this forum in a while cause it's been nose to the grindstone for 6 months now. I've been on and off the diet wagon many times, I do well all day and then fall off at night when I get home. I walk 3 km's on my elliptical walker 4 nights a week. I feel great but cant loose any weight, I've been to 2 doctors who have run blood tests and a bunch of other tests including a stress test. I'm thinking about trying laxatives to help me out.:banghead:

You eat too much calories. Yes, it is blunt but it is true. No amount of walking will lower your weight if you are eating more than you are burning. The laxative is just a dumb idea. You won't lose weight in the way that counds..body fat. You will be lower for all of a few days and right back up you go. Come on, you are smarter than that right?

Start fresh, do a food diary and keep track of those calories for a week. I bet you are underestimating just how many calories you are eating.

How would laxatives help you lose weight? If you use laxatives for more than 10 days, or whatever it says on the packet, you start to lose your own natural ability to have bowel movements.

Maybe if sticking to the diet is hard for you you can try increasing your exercise to say 2 hours walking 7 days a week? Or if you're able to run for an hour every day, you can burn a lot of calories.

I also have trouble sticking to a diet, but what helped me was simply not buying any food that I was tempted to overeat. I don't have any more nuts, I don't have any more cheese, I don't have any more pasta in the house. I have lean meats, veggies, lean dairy. I always have vegetable soup on hand to eat because it fills me up and has few calories.

Write down everything you eat, measure precise amounts so you know exactly how many calories you're eating.

laxatives was a BAD idea......lasted 1 day and that was it. I bought a vitamix:

Seems to be working, I never liked fruit. Veggies are fine but I needed a change. When I get a craving for a snack I mix up a couple of apples, a pair, a hand full of strawberries and some grapes. Toss in a banana or two to neutralize the tartness and down the hatch. No more cravings

You did not need to link to the product's site. You wanted to say what you got? You say you got a blender cause that's what it is.

I dont know why I got a notification from this forum but I did.....
I havent been here for a few years because calling my post a spam REALLY po'd me.
Anyway, I've lost a 100 pounds just by watching portion sizes and walking 4 miles a day.
Two in the morning and two in the evening.
See you in a couple more years..
