What to do After Working Out?

You could either...

- Drink a protein shake to prevent catabolism (muscle breakdown).
- Eat foods with a high glycemic index to help with glycogen replenishment.
- And of course: stretch. Never skip this.
 
For me it goes like this, nothing "optimised" lol, just how I land after the workout.

1. stretch
2. walk home
3. sweep a shake(carbs+whey)
4. shower
5. crash on the coach for an hour(watch cops on TV)
6. have another shake(whey)
7. put on pants
8. crash for another hour(surfing the net)
9. getting hungry
10. cook some food

Just make sure you eat some the hours after your workout and if the workout makes you loose your apetite(does for me) then shakes works to.
 
Yep, they're right. Eat promptly after a workout, or atleast within 30 min.

And...I'm not a big fan of stretching, especially not after a workout. Maybe the next day.
 
After working out? I'd put it in this order
1. Stretch
2. Protein shake + dextrose before even walking out of the gym
3. Shower
4. 1.5 hours AFTER your pwo shake, eat a p/c meal
 
Eat then eat then eat, Have a cold shower then eat.
You can also have an epsom bath to help heal the muscles.
