What should one look for in PT

Listen to the personal trainer's background and observe fical-expression and body language.
Feel if there is a healthy-connection to what it is he or she is telling you.
Can you "sense" a genuine interest from this person.
Or do you sense an Ego from "I can do this, I can do that" rather than I would like to help YOU with this so you can do that.
Is there a "healthy dialouge of information-communication?"
Because if the explainations sound "robotic, mechanical" then your way of exercsing will be the same.

Experience...not just degrees, certifications but his or her own experience with their own health with exercise.
Experience...helping, helping people understand why exercise, what is exercise, when to exercise and who is exercsing and not so much how-to-exercise.
Experience knowing "who" instead of "what" the trainer is working with.

And when all is said, do you feel and not think, deeply I have been edcuated and learned something about the health, my health with exercise.
Remember, no one, even personal trainers can "make-you-healthy" but with the right kind of personal trainer, he or she will work with you discover good health and physical wellness and in return you will help the personal trainer remember their purpose WHY they do what it is they are suppose to be doing...
Aloha for now
