It Can Be Hard....But Relax

Hey
When I was in 9th grade, I was about the same. I am 19 yrs. old now, and before I had my son I was 130 lbs. But when I was ur age I did weigh about 150. I found the more active I got, the more weight would come off. I never really did diet or exercise daily, but I did joined sports and stuff in school to help. By the time I graduated I was down to 120 lbs. and the thing that motivated me, was senior pictures. I was determined to be small and pretty like everyone says people should be. But give it time and just try to be active and respect yourself, don't be down on yourself. Because if you are negative towards the way you look, it will get ya nowhere. Hope I helped.

Hi,
I'm glad you're taking a healthy approach. There are loads of places that have free exercise programs. A good site is www.bodybuilding.com. But please keep this in mind: no one workout program is right for everyone. We all have different goals, needs, abilities, preferences, body types, etc. That's why have a personal trainer design a program just for you is much more effective. Just keep that in mind. And good luck!

Hi Pina Collada92 :)

Glad you want to do this the healthy way. That proves how intelligent you are. Good for you.

The first thing I would do is talk with your parents about your goals. If for some reason they cannot or will not understand, then talk with your gym or health teachers. A doctor or guidance counselor will do. Any adult will do.

The reason I say that is because when you share your goals with people they can help support you. And that will be a great thing to have.

I would not head over to bodybuilding.com because that site is for bodybuilders and those already up on the lingo and lifestyle.

What you need is to learn about healthy eating and healthy working out for YOU. I recently wrote about strength training for children and teens too :)

If you want to read that article, please head over . It may give you some good starting points.

Good luck to you. Eat small meals every 3-4 hours. Try to geta protein and a good carb with each meal. I know you are smart enough to know that NOT eating is actually going to hurt your progress.

I'm sorry, but that's very far from the truth. Bodybuilding.com is not designed for bodybuilders at all! There are thousands of articles about weight loss, post-partum exercise, yoga, fitness basics for beginners, fitness for every sport, etc. There are articles for people at every level and every goal. And articles for beginners are written in plain english. Might want to check out the site a bit more before you you say that.

Hi, Sarah.

I am very familiar with bodybuilding.com. Head over to the "Teen Section" and take a look at that page. Do you think this is the page the original poster would benefit from the most?

Here's the link for you to check out:

Bodybuilding.com has its place. Don't get me wrong. I just thought there would be other words we could say to the original poster. That's all.

To say that bodybuilding.com is NOT designed for bodybuilders at all, is wrong.

No harm done. No hard feelings. You stated your opinion and I stated mine.

I actually haven't spent a lot of time at the teen bodybuilding section. Sorry, I didn't mean that it isn't partly designed for bodybuilders. There certainly is a lot of bodybuilding info there. I just meant there there is info for every level that is written in basic english. I'm working on writing for them right now, and I'm making it very simple. :)

Awesome!

Good luck to you on your ventures. They are a good site and provide tons of good info. Maybe you can bulk up their teenage girls section :)

Collect information

You should first collect information related to weight loss. The best way to approach a thing is that you collect all releavant information on the topic. You want to lose weight but does not have much information so it will take time to decide which method is best for you. There are so many ways from which you can lose weight. Some of tehm are like diet pills, exercise, dieting, weight loss surgery.
First of all collect information on it i am providing a link to a site from where you can collect information on all these ways. . You can also ask any question in the forum of this site.

All these sites are good, but most of the information is anecdotal. What I did was get with a doctor who put my health first and foremost....and the results and programs were based on clinical trials by medical professionals. When I tried to lose weight before this, I was bombarded with information and programs and nothing much seemed to work.
