Well I'm 17 years old, 6'5" (Im done growing) and weigh 265 pounds. I'm just wondering what I should set my goal to for weight loss.

Well, a healthy weight range for you is anywhere between 170 and 195 BUT if you gain muscle, due to your height, that range could go up to 225 based on your height. I would concentrate on just getting physically fit and eating well. As you are taller, weightloss will be slower than someone shorter because the percentage of potential muscle mass would be greater. It would be useful to get a measurement of your bodyfat percentage to get clearer optimal weight projections.

I would say you goal should be to lead a healthy and only a healthy lifestyle until you die.

This to me seems like the best way to keep your life on track.

Goodluck!

Cut bread from your foods. Set a goal of a daily routine to follow and never go off from it. Add a 1 day per week exercise to your routine. Don't over do yourself with exercising. Keep it simple. Make sure you're eating the right foods, herb and spices. I wish you luck on your journey!

What you need to do is integrate strength training into your life so that you can be more firm instead of trying to find that magic food(s) that will aid with fat loss. Dieting alone just won't do it. "Bulking up" is due to following a bodybuilder lifestyle. The casual person will get moderate definition but will be more taut and not look chunky.

Hey man,

You don't look too overweight. You just have to fine tune yourself.

Focus more of lifting heavy weights in the gym (Not many plates but weights which are heavy for your body) on a regular basis.
Eat more of healthy home made food.
Avoid sugars, processed foods, oily/ deep fried foods.
Eat more of whole wheat or whole grain carbs like Brown Rice, Pasta, Spaghetti, Quinoa etc along with equal amount of Proteins like Fish, Eggs, Chicken, Beef and limited amount of healthy fats like almonds, avocado, olive oil, coconut oil. Use the hand measuring strategy (just type that on google and you will get many links explaining the same).
Last, give it time. You will be fit, healthy, and muscular and with a height of 6.5, you will look dashing.
