What music motivates you?

This might not be the ‘right’ forum for this..but hopefully it’s ok. ;)

I was just curious about what music gets everyone moving? What do you listen to when you work out?

I thought it would be cool to share, so we could all maybe update our iPods! So here’s the deal tell us the song, artist and genre.

I will start, since I am such a giver...

Genre: Hip Hop/Rap

Will Smith - Switch

Ms. Jade - Dead Wrong

Kyprios - Never Say Goodbye

Pussycat Dolls - Don’t Cha

Memphis Bleek - Like That

Snoop Dogg - Ain’t No Fun

Genre: Dance

Studio B- I See Girls

Uniting Nations - Out Of Time (my favorite right now)

There is so more...but I can’t seem to think of them right now! Sheesh.

Song titles would be cool...that way I can know what to download! LOL! There is a method to my madness here.

But I am glad people are enjoying the topic =)

I'm with you on the hip-hop:

Cosmic Gypsies by Task Force feat. braintax & jehst

Peruvian Cocaine by Immortal Technique (download that one and let me know what you think...i love it)

The prophecy by immortal technique.

Harlem streets - Immortal technique

You like Immortal? Now thats cool! I LOVE his music. I don't find it music I can work out too...but I love it all the same.

If you haven't heard of "Grouphome" or "Little Brother" before...download them! You will probably love them.

As a professional musician I wouldn't give out any titles to people that download without paying for their music.

Ohh Wahh  ....

Anyways. Definitely rap, metal, classical, and when I'm working out the music definitely has to be hard into whatever genre it is. For example, if I'm listening to rap it has to be a really bassy tone, screw the police, screw hoes, I smoke all the time, I can do whatever I want kind of music. Then for metal of course awesome guitar and good vocals. I guess for classical I just like plain piano, but, I do like that song from Shaw Shank Redemption where he breaks into the office and plays it to the whole system. Heres some titles....

Bone Thugs And Harmony - Shots to the double glock
Bone Thugs And Harmony - **** the Police
NWA - Boys in the Hood
Boys In The Hood - Cruisin' - Ft. Eazy E.
Boys In The Hood - Duck when I Bust

Bury Your Dead - Bury Your ****ing Dead
Bury Your Dead - Magnolia
Bury Your Dead - All the Right Moves
Bury Your Dead - Bring the Mosh
Bury Your Dead - 69 Times Is A Charm
Bury Your Dead - The Color Of Money
Bury Your Dead - Risky Buisiness
Converge - Thaw
Converge - Concubine
Converge - For You
Converge - Phoenix In Flight
Converge - Phoneix In Flames
Converge - Hell To Pay

Too lazy to type more.

Disturbed really pumps me for weights.

I also like Rush, Metallica, Cypress Hill, Beastie Boys, etc.

I prefer to watch movies when doing cardio... K2, Tombstone, Lethal Weapon, etc...

Orightey.

Any music gets me pumped up really. In terms of when I work my abs, maybe stuff like '50 Cent - In Da Club', 'Stardust - The Music Sounds Better With You' and of course the Rocky theme tune.

When I'm doing my weights I like to listen to Justin Timberlake's song, 'Rock Your Body' and some of 2pac's legendary stuff.

I do my cardio in a gym at my school, which is full of mainly teachers, who just plonk on the Venga Boys and scowl at you if you enter a 10 metre radius range of the CD player. Knobs.

And 'bhindi...' (no, I'm not even going to attempt to finish to spell that), WinMX, but you didn't hear it from me. You heard it from, errr... rip. Yeah, that'll do.

;)

DMX-X gonna giv it to ya
50 Cent- Jus a lil bit (joggin)
Kernkraft 400- zombie nation
ATB-9pm (till i come)

this is just a few i listen to at the moment they usually work for jogging at a steady speed!!!

oh yeh! and the final countdown lol

Limewire, is great so I hear. My roommate is a dj, so I get most of my music from his music sub. for his nightclub.

I like listening to metal that has some loud vocals and guitr in it. One would be Children of Bodom. I also liked listening to the hardest of AC/DC. But for now I don't listen to anything. I guess I should get a small boombox. The music I mentioned I used to listen to while running for a long time, but it can get repetitive.

rap, lyrics that speak of being the greatest, such as mike jones/paul wall/ ect.

rock music that is loud and fast, since that is the best way to work out, with high intensity.

mostly just music that keeps a beat, and gets you into a groove.
