How long are you in the weightroom each session lifting? (not including warm up & dynamic stretching)

Pick the average time you spend in the weightroom the most each day.

I'm afraid it's around two hours now. New program which has a lot of exercises with a lot of straight sets.

I voted 2 or more hours.

We throw on most days. For 1 - 1.5 hours. Then head to the gym. Again for 1 - 1.5 hours.

On some Saturdays we have trained for 7 hours or so.

Even on weekday training days we will have some days where we start at 5:30pm and get done close to 9:00pm

One of my training partners does a bunch of his workouts with the big powerlifter in town. (who also happens to have the highest total in the world) He said it can be 2+ hours just to get through squats.

had to vote more than two hours-- explanation would only substantiate the insanity involved. let's just call it "more than 2 hours" :p

It depends. I'm a full-time employee, a full-time student, I'm in a band that practices twice a week and plays a show every other week, and I'm in the Air National Guard. Outside of my fiance, the gym is the other of thing that I have time for during the semester. It works fine as long as I keep my priorities straight. Unfortunately, my gym works are usually cut short with the expectation to weekend I don't work. Usually it's an hour for the time I enter until the time I leave.

I'd always like to be there for 1.5-2 hours to ensure cardio and a long sit in the suana afterwards (not included in the time).

With straight sets my upper body days take usually 80-90 minutes.
With super-sets i can get it done in about an hour.

Just a tad over an hour. Each rest between sets is timed (and the length is) dependent on the progress made on the workout before it--strictly.

The only times it may go past an hour and 20 minutes (approximately) is when I am trying to break a weight plateau. For example, bench. Lets say I am stuck on 6 reps 305lbs, I will do the six, then peform as many 1/2 to 3/4ths reps as I can, rack the weight, then wait 10 to 15 seconds, and peform another rep (as an example procedure to break a plateau). But traditionally no more than just a tad over an hour on weight training.

Work hard. Be consistent in being persistent in disciplining yourself to do the very things that teach yourself the rules that guide self mastery.

Be proud of who you are and who you are about to to become! ;)

Peace, joy, and much happiness to all!

Too long, probably.

I stretch and run before each day so that's 30 minutes added to the weights session, which is about 1 hr to 1hr and 15 min.

I'm 14 so too young for the gyms near me :( but I usually do half an hour of core work and then fifteen focusing on either legs or arms

timed myself today did
leg-press
bench
pulldowns
uprigh-rows
dips
bent-over-rows
tricep,press
27mins then 35mins cardio

45min. - 1hr of liftin. followed by 20-40 minutes of cardio. 4 to 5 times a week. This varies alot as I change my workouts every week so my body doesnt get used to the same routine, which causes many to plateau.
