What is my body fat%?

View attachment 6343View attachment 6343View attachment 6343View attachment 6345View attachment 63449 months ago I was 300 pounds. Notice the photo of me in the white shorts. I'm now down to 228, and my ultimate goal is to get ripped. I'm trying to gauge my current body fat percentage, and what it was when I was at 300. So if you guys have any idea what I am now or what I was then, please give nee your thoughts. *note the only photo of me at 300 is the one of me in the white shorts, the photo next to that one is me at 243. Also, what would be a good goal weight for me?

Firstly, congrats on loosing 72 lbs.

As for your body-weight percentage - to know for sure you'd need to calculate this yourself with proper equipment ... Looking at the images I can only really take a rough guess, and it's a personal thing, but anyway this is what I'd guess:

at 300lbs: Around 30%
at 228lbs: Probably somewhere around 23-24%, kind of hard to tell
To get a fit look: around 15%
To look lean/ripped: optimally 10% or lower

Indeed, Great job on the weight loss, you can see you look much better and healthier today than before. So well done.

I'd suggest not worrying too much about your body fat % just yet. Work on building muscle and losing the fat until you're happy with how your body image looks. I've never understood why people are so hung up on body fat %. If you look good and feel good then you're the right body fat %. Unfortunately it's impossible to tell from your photo. You can get a body fat caliper to measure it. Don't worry about what it used to be, just focus from today onwards.

at your heights, if you want to be ripped with enough muscle, you'll have to go through a few cycles of cutting and bulking. I'd say you should aim for a finished weight of around 85-90kg (188 - 199 lbs).

Good luck, and keep up the hard work. You definitely are getting there!

You're doing a great job.

Body fat percentage isn't really something to worry about. Keep going with whatever it is you're doing, because it works. Don't worry about body fat percentage until you're struggling/plateaued with the last few pounds to lose.

If you exercise with heavy weight and eat a good diet (I recommend Paleo) then you're going to get your ideal body fat sooner or later anyway.

Yes, Don't worry about body fat percentage. A good mix of resistance training and conditioning will help be a good pair. Drink Green Tea 3 times in a day and also drink at least 4 ltr water. I have already lost around 3 kgs in 14 days.

I don't think that tea has that much of power in losing weight. In my point of view, some weight loss pills put some effect of losing the weight.
