I am getting the running into shape after getting rid of that pain in my legs still there to start with but can run through it maybe not warming up correctly, weight loss seems to have stopped although I am running more not so fast on the running but my distances are improving can now manage in the region of 4k without to much discomfort am doing this and weights about 4 times a week got no idea what to eat to lose weight so if anyone can give me pointers on these points it would be great that is warming up for running,should i be concentrating on my distances not times, and what to eat to lose weight thanks again for your time

Now for your question.

Losing weight is a package deal. Diet, exercise, the whole nine yards. Search these forums for advice on eating correctly. The info is there, you just have to dig for it.

If you are eating decently and are still not losing, you may be on a plateau. Plateaus are common and can be beat by busting your butt to get through it.
 
if you're having a problem with running then find other forms of cardio. there are many.

you could have problems with your synovial fluid if you are experiancing problems

go for swimming/rowing/cycling
