What do YOU think of this regime?

My diet consist mainly of wheat bread, juice and lean meats eg; turkey, chicken breasts, fish. I consume bananas and milk on a daily basis.

Breakfast: Wheat bread with OJ and banana.

Lunch: Baked chicken breast and wheat bread with water.

Dinner: Sauteed vege's with meat and rice.

Inbetween I snack on Special K's snack bars or bread.

My training always starts with a 2 mile run on the treadmill with a maximum incline of level 13 in which I gradually elevate.

After that comes 60 pushups followed by 30 crunches.
Then another 60 diamond pushups followed by 30 crunches and 30 leg raises.

End with some static stretching.

I train like 4 times a week, sometimes 3 days at once or 2...

Trying to achieve mass and get toned too..

What do you people think? Any pointers?

Even while trying to bulk, that is a lot of bread, and no where near enough protein (although I don't know your stats). Try to get a protein source each time you eat.

Also, it's probably not enough calories either, you need to create a surplus in order to gain mass, which means going above your BMR -google Harris Benedict equation, work the whole equation, including multiplying by activity level, then add a few hundred calories to that number to get your caloric intake level.

If you are trying to gain mass, then I would suggest a more structured wkout, not just pushups and leg raises (look around for some good wkout examples).

Breakfast (meal 1): Wheat bread with OJ and banana. Add a complete protein source here, drop the OJ

(Insert meal 2 here)

Lunch (Meal 3): Baked chicken breast and wheat bread with water.

(Insert meal 4 here)

Dinner meal 5: Sauteed vege's with meat and rice.

Meal 6

Inbetween I snack on Special K's snack bars or bread.

Read bold.

You snack on bread? Calm down on the bread. Try to get a complete protein and veggie or fruit in each meal.

What do you have access to (workout wise)?

Whats wrong with the OJ man? Given its 100%(with pulp is best) and not just flavored water I see nothing wrong with it. The GI rating is already decent if its 100% with no added sugar and when coupled with the a complete protein its GI is even lower.

I'm with C-Mayhem I'm afraid, maybe he's a being a little harsh on OJ but why not just eat an Orange? Juice is just the fruit with the best bits taken out.

That and if its been pasteurized like most fruit juices have then there is little nutritional value left. An orange itself is by far better then juice. But if the taste is enjoyable then i see no real reason to nix it.
Basically if your drinking it for some "nutritional value" then don't bother. If your drinking it just for taste. Thats perfectly fine IMO.
But surely don't replace actual fruit for pasteurized fruit juice.

There is OJ with no added sugar? Just looking at the stuff in my fridge, 100% with pulp with 28g of sugar (I guess that could be the natural sugars?).

I don't know I'm just a water kind of guy, and as you said fruits > drinks.

Isn't all store bought juice pasteurized?

99% of it is. There is this one brand who i can not remember the name, that sells non pasteurized juice in some select stores. Its EXPENSIVE though. Really you get this small plastic carton for like 5bucks!

It comes with a warning label on it of course.:p

Exercise Efficiency

Did you know that short but intense interval training has been proven more effective than much longer durations of low intensity work? I have more advice from research and personal experience at
