Well, I either watch a movie (to pass the time) or I listen to my favorite play list. Here are a few songs that seem to get me going.

1. Halestorm - Familiar Taste of Poison (Awesome band w/ a female lead)
2. Halestorm - I Get Off
3. Metallica - No Leaf Clover
4. MintJam - Rival (Japanese Band, SIIIICK guitar solo)
5. Daft Punk - Robot Rock (Little techno never hurt anyone!)

Thats some of my playlist...whats yours?

P.S. Try and look up songs that people post up, might find some new music! Youtube is your friend.

lamb of god
carcass
killswitch engage
thrice
underoath

Anything heavy that gets me pumped.

When I walk, it's all 80's, all the time.

On the heavy bag, I like Falco, New Order, The Cult, and Midnight Oil. - which I guess is also all 80's.

One the nordictrack or the bike, I tend to watch martial arts movies.

I usually google the Billboard Hot 100 List ( ) and it has all the current most popular "mainstream" songs.

Most of them are good (why else would they be on the list..), some are bad, but the list gets updated quite frequently so it's a good starting point when you're at a loss for music. ;)

I know it sounds corny but I have downloaded some techno 80's remixes from Itunes. They have such a great beat that I really keep my pace and jog with them... the remixes are Dust in the Wind, I think we are alone now, and Whats Up...

I also have a few tracks from a "Run to Cadence with the Marines" CD that I start with in the very beginning to get my pace and my breathing right.

When I lift I love the song Psychosocial... I am ashamed to admit it but I also have the Rocky soundtrack.. :)

When I am on my bike rides I really slow down and relieve stress. I listen to some country like "Home" "Better as a memory", I also like instrumentals like Titanic or the theme from Braveheart and Forest Gump...

Thats it I have embarrased myself enough

I'm sure this thread was posted already, but what the hell I'll post in this one as well. I generally listen to anything upbeat while working out. I know i'm gonna get flack for this, but I love listening to Britney Spears because for some reason I find her body really motivating. So, some Britney, Deftones, Thom Yorke, Radiohead, Michael Jackson, Aaliyah, etc.

I love upbeat songs with a good beat while I'm working out. Lately some of my favorites are:
"Walking on the Moon" by The Dream ft. Kanye West
"Welcome to the World" by Kevin Rudolph
"Knock You Down" by Keri Hilson
Anything by Lady Gaga

anything that has a beat I can easily bike/walk/jog to, and some that I need to push to match ;)

specifically Duffy, Hellogoodbye, Green Day, Kings of Leon....

Generally my Bassline CDs
Basically because they're seamless (??) I don't know what the proper word for it is haha... but there's like no pause between each song so it doesn't give me an excuse to pause! If that makes any sense whatsoever?

Otherwise anything upbeat. Definitely NO slow songs, unless I'm cooling down!

I'll pretty much listen to anything so long as it's got a decent tempo. From Killswitch Engage to Jamiroquai to Norah Jones.

GIRL TALK!

Hey, all I had never heard of this artist until a friend of mine told me about them. I had always liked remixes of popular music and megamixes and this guy is like the ultimate!

He remixes popular music of all genres together makes the most awesome mixes. Rap/Rock/Pop/Metal/Oldies/Soul/Tecnho/Alternative/80s... etc.. I can't get enough and the music is really upbeat and constantly changing. It's the perfect work out music. Download it! I would download both the "Night Ripper" and "Feed the Animals" ablums. It works even better if you listen to them in order because they play like one continous track. Seriously it's great for cardio really seems to push me.

(Warning some of the lyrics can be a tad vulgar. So if that bugs yah sorry!)

(here is an example of just one song that has a mixes all these songs from all these genres together)

0:00 Ciara featuring Petey Pablo - "Goodies"
0:00 'N Sync - "Pop"
0:09 Boston - "Foreplay/Long Time"
0:10 Ludacris featuring Bobby Valentino - "Pimpin' All Over the World"
0:32 Fabolous - "Breathe"
1:14 Ying Yang Twins - "Wait (The Whisper Song)"

1:46 M.I.A. - "Pull Up the People"
1:48 Webbie featuring Bun B - "Give Me That"
