What are you looking forward to wearing/doing at your goal weight?

Hey everyone my names Emma. In October last year I weighed myself for the first time in ages at my grandmothers house, I was 11 stone 6. I'd already planned on losing some weight before this. I've usually been about a size 14 since I was probably 16 years old. I did at one point go up to about a size 16 when I was about 21/22 years old, but I don't think I actually realised this at the time till I looked back at photos.

At the moment I'm still a size 14, but I think I'm getting to be a smaller sized 14. I now weigh 10 stone 4. (Really want to go back and weigh myself on my grandmothers scales see if I'm the same weight there, as when I eventually got round to getting my own scales I was exactly 11 stone.)

I think I look good at the moment, and I don't think I looked bad before, but I'm really looking forward to a time when I can wear a bikini and have a flat toned stomach, and I'd also love to be able to wear crop tops in the summer :D

Does anyone have anything similar they're looking forward to wearing? Or maybe an activity or something they'll feel more confident doing? Also for those of you who have reached your goals what are you enjoying wearing and doing at the moment?

Congrats on the weight loss!!!!!:):)
this might sound extremely sad but im actually really looking forward to wear jeans when i get to my ideal weight!! I havent worn them since i was 11, and even then i was fat!!!:)

An activity i'll be more confident doing after achieving my goal weight is to be able to go to the gym without feeling 'all eyes on the fat girl' also to be happier person in general:)

Goodluck with the weight loss chick!!x

Well, at my heaviest, I would always wear this 3x large black vest along with some hoodie because I was so self-conscious. Unfortunately, it'd make me look larger than I really was because of all the layers :\

I even wore that kind of clothing during the summer. I'd get asked constantly if I was hot by customers and other various people, but I'd just play it off and say I had floridian blood in me, so the hot weather didn't bother me :p Even though I was always sweating profusely.

Nowadays, I'm comfortable enough to just wear a single, very light t-shirt :) I've collected a lot of goofy shirts off websites with funny logos and silly sayings over the last few months.

I'm not at my goal weight yet, but I'm wearing the clothes I've always wanted to wear. They're not some generic, base-colored 3-4x t-shirts anymore, but instead, nerdy/geeky/pop culture t-shirts in the medium/large range :D haha

As for what I will be doing when I hit my goal weight. Hmmm, probably figuring out the whole maintenance aspect of it for a few months, followed by contour surgery to improve my new body image.

Then, who knows. Maybe try to meet someone and try my hand at dating perhaps :]

Irishprincess I don't think its sad to want to wear jeans at all. I'd like to get some more trousers, I'd like a load of fairly tight ones in different colours, but I think I should wait till I get down to exactly the weight I'd like to be permanently. Plus then it can be a good excuse for going shopping! :D

And frogged that's great that you can wear clothes you actually enjoy now that have some personality to them. Have fun with the dating :)

Wow,
Ive been at a 14 for as long as I can remember as well, at my heaviest I was at a size 16 and was pretty miserable -_-

Im now back down to a 14/15 and am loosing weight at a healthy pace. I absolutely cannot wait to wear shorts! haha. I have not ever worn shorts in the summer to this day except while on vacation and forced to by family, I went all threw out my teens to 23 years old wearing jeans in the summer. I see all the girls walking around in shorts and pretty summer dresses and it gives me the kick in the butt I need to take the stairs instead of the elevator or not eat that piece of pizza lol.

Im really just looking forward to walking in a store like forever 21 or American Eagle and not worrying if Im going to fit into THEIR size 14.

it's gotta be one thing.. and one thing only!
LIEDERHOSEN!
Sexiest clothes EVER!

finally going to be able to wear a tank top of a sleeveless shirt, or even play sports without a shirt! : D

I have this one pair of really cute pants I'd like to wear again. They're about a size 8, and I used to wear them last summer. In March I couldn't fit into them in any way! Now I can put them on, but I wouldn't be able to for example sit in them for more than like 20 minutes. :D Too tight. I also would like to wear short shorts with full confidence. :) My thighs are my problem area #1 by far, so at the moment I can't see myself wearing shorts with no stockings or leggings underneath.

Hopefully this will change during the next 3-6 months. ;)

Also... when I'm thin enough... I'm thinking about spending some time in the sewers....
After all, I'll be thin enough to fit! (I found this picture on the internet... hehe)

My girlfriend bought me a Medium sized Diesel shirt last year. I used to fit a Medium very well, it would be fitted but look good.

I don't think I've put on a Medium shirt for a long time. Last year I could barely put the shirt she bought me on; I looked like the Michelin man. After a months of hard work I can put it on and have it look decent. It's not quite where I want it, but I hope to have it looking perfect by the time I get back home and can see her in September.

I also have a couple of 'goal' shirts that I have at my home, I'm excited to wear those too!

Sometimes it's hard to see the progress we make day to day but when we start wearing clothes we couldn't wear before, we can really see how much progress we've made. Such a good feeling!

I'm a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl, so the only thing I really want to get into is a tshirt that I bought a reeeeally long time ago and never wore. It was one of those "OOOooo...I'd look cute in that...but CRAP(!) they only have a size smaller than I wear....well I wanna lose a few pounds anyway...so I'll just get it, and then I'll have it when I do lose those pounds" kinda thing..HAHAHA! It's probably 10 years old....but I'm gonna wear it proudly when I can! :)

First of all Emma congrats on how far you have come.
You should be very proud of yourself :)

In answer to your questions...
I am already dressing differently to when I was heavier, I am wearing alot more fitted clothing, which I love :)

As for goals, there is this absolutely gorgeous dress that I want (It's very very fitted haha) I would need to be slim and toned to pull it off but I hope to get into it for christmas, if not before.
I have been saying I will get into it for a while but now I actually believe I can.
I've recently taken up running outdoors (at the moment I go in the early hours of the morning to avoid seeing anyone) In the next few weeks/months I will have the confidence to run in front of people-like a mini marathon or something similar :)

Like frogged said maintaining is going to be a new challenge and I also think I will need surgery as I am noticing loose skin(very frustrating when you work so hard and are left with hanging skin :() but the way I feel now in comparison to when I weighed 245lbs doesnt compare and the skin is hopefully not going to be a big deal.

I am now 175lbs and feeling great, I can not wait to reach my goal-theres going to be tears and celebrations no doubt
I know it isnt easy and it takes a lot of hard work, will power and motivation to achieve our goals but it is so worth it.
WELL DONE to all of you :D
:grouphug:

I don't really have anything planned to do or wear, I'd like to be back in to "normal" sized clothes, wear T shirts without a large belly sticking out.

Some of my old clubbing clothes are now starting to fit again, some really nice shirts I bought back at uni and grew out of, I guess I'd like to get to my target weight and then buy some new clothes and go out on the town and see if I can turn any heads :)

when i get to 120lbs i will wear..

sundresses....i love them, but never felt like the fell on me right (my hips are wide)

Wide hips are good, when you're down to your target weight you'll have a really kick ass hourglass figure which is perfect for a lot of dresses, something to look forward to :)

I'm going to a music/art festival in the middle of summer next year. I'd love to be at my goal weight by then so I can wear shorts/skirts and feel free and confident within myself! that'll be my ulimate reward as I went last year and felt too self concious to wear anything other than trousers which were way to hot! haha

Thankyou :) and congratulations to you too! It's great that you have more confidence. Have you bought the dress already? I have a black fitted dress that I've bought (at least a year ago) but not worn out because I never felt it looked very good from the side, I feel the area I carry the most weight is my stomach, that's where it really seems to stick out anyway lol. I did think that when I hopefully eventually drop a dress size I'll have a flatter stomach, but then I wonder if the dress may still fit alright for the rest of me :S if only I had my own tailor :D
