What am I doing wrong?

Hi,
Ok, been on my new "life style" for 2 weeks and one day now. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong -if anything?

I started at 175. Then the first week I was down to 173.5. Yesterday I was down to 169. Today I'm up to 175! I am weighing on the same scales, at the same time of and no clothes either time. How am I back to 175?? I don't comprehend.

This week I have ate a bowl of cereal for breakfast, some sort of sandwich for lunch (usually one of the low fat ones from subway) and for supper whatever my family has, but I eat on a small plate and don't get seconds. I have been having a couple of low fat healthy snacks every day. And the most important thing (I think) is exercise. I walk at least 35 minutes every day but strive for an hour. This is walking on hills. I also do sit ups every day and weights for my arms every day. I am only drinking water, one glass of oj in the mornings and sugar free (no calorie) lemonade when I need something else.

Does anyone have any advice? I was so pumped yesterday when I realized that I had lost 6 pounds. And now today, I'm crushed.

Welcome Donna- our bodies can do strange things sometimes. When cutting down, especially in the first couple of weeks, our bodies go thru a change in balance of fluids and so forth. Your plan sounds good so far (of course I am not an expert) but everything sounds logical. Do not give up, keep up with what you are doing. I have a feeling that you will see the scales tip again...this time in your favor. You could also pose your question in the "harsh truth" section. This section is geared towards pros that perhaps can give you a more clear answer as to what is happening. Good luck to you.
 
Thank you! I'm going to keep it up and hopefully, like you said, it will start up again.
BTW, I have always been one of those people that retain fluid easily so maybe that's my problem.

heya.. sometimes things don't go the way you want, but the most important thing is not to lose ur faith and determination and give up easily.. things like this are part and parcel of life, so i hope u'll push on no matter what! and ultimately, u'll reach ur goal.. cheers!
