What About Tihs New Diet?

What About This Diet?

Okay, how about this diet:

Breakfast: 1 cup of Honey Nut Cheerios.

School (with gym every other day)

Lunch: fried vegetables, 2-3 thin wheat tortillas (rotlis/bakris), 1 cup of Honey Nut Cheerios

25 minutes of outside bike riding (every day).

Dinner: 1 cup Honey Nut Cheerios OR some fruit

Please give advice on this new diet.

Also, I have a question - are Honey Nut Cheerios good for you?

Wow, is that all you eat...That is way to little of everything, not just protein.
With that diet you will eat somewhere around 700-800 kcal en about 20-25 gr of protein. To be honest, that scares me.
You can't just eat a cup of cheerios for dinner. Make yourself a proper diner.
vegetables, meat and something like rice, pasta or potatoes.
Honestly you will have a major breakdown if you continue this diet.
I am guessing (and it is a guess, without any information on age, weight etc) that you will burn a minimum of 2000 kcal a day. That means that you have to eat at least 1500kcal a day.(and this is still very low)

some general rules for a good diet are:
1. Enjoy a wide variety of nutritious foods
2. Eat plenty of breads and cereals (preferably wholegrain), vegetables (including legumes) and fruits
3. Eat a diet low in fat, and particular low in saturated fat
4. Maintain a healthy body weight by balancing physical activity and food intake
5. Drink plenty of water and if you drink alcohol, limit your intake
6. Eat only a moderate amount of sugars and foods containing added sugars
7. Choose low salt foods and use sparingly
8. Encourage and support breastfeeding
9. Eat foods containing calcium (particularly females)
10. Eat foods containing iron (particularly females, vegetarians and athletes)

You can use: to calculate your kcal intake.

Honestly, you can still lose weight if you follow this guidelines.

oh, about honey nut cheerios: they contain 120 kcal of fat, 11gr of sugar, 2 gr of fat and about 3 gr of protein per cup.
They are a little high in sugar (they have about 60 kcal more then regular cereal). I personally eat a truckload of Nutrigrain (about 4 cups a morning) which has about the same amount of sugar as cheerio's.
If you like it, stay with it. Cause you need those kcal's

I would think after a while you would grow to hate cheerios. I would just eat healthy foods. Eat lots of fruits & veggies, little meat, drink lots of water, and don't forget your grains. Snack on diet crackers or wheat thins. I would just make sure you have a variety of foods, so you get all your vitiams that you need. Cut back on sweets and fatty foods. For myself, I limit my intake of pasta and potatoes (cause I don't know when to quite, lol ). Hope this helps. Fad diets like that never work.

I'm not sure premonition is on the site anymore. I do recall a lot of honey nut cheerios threads, but he seems to have dropped off back in March. This is a pretty old one.

A lot of Honey Nut Cheerios threads?

Sounds like the man sure likes his cheerios. I noticed at the end of his statement, he asked if honey nut are good for you.

i must say that i just got a pretty good laugh reading back on all of his original posts.. how many times can one ask the same question, just because they dont like the answers given.. sheesh.
