LOL some doctors seem to recommend some pretty unhealthy plans. We see such claims all the time - and comments from other doctors about the dangers of the approach...
The claim that the method you used actually increases your health sounds a fairly big claim to me.
I haven't heard of a program which reduces weight impressively and does so in a healthy way other than regular exercise combined with eating healthily at the right calorie level. This has the major benefit of teaching healthy eating habits which is so important for maintenance. Naturally - I am biased since this approach allowed me to half my total weight in about 13 months.
Out of interest - what is the plan for maintenance of your program? You posted elsewhere that you are in that phase now. Are people expected to pay out money for pills and potions for ever? Do people simply hope that they will not gain weight the way that they did in the first place?
