What a great day!

Well ... first of all, I am in such a great mood. I had an excelant walk this afternoon and I'm cleaning my apartment ... I've been dancing =) and doing free weights and I just feel so motivated to keep this up.
My boyfriend and I, well ex I suppose now ... anyways, we broke up a few days ago - just have been bickering too much about every little thing! So I've been feeling a little down in the dumps about it but today it just hit me- I can use any sadness or frusteration in a good wa - exercise! I just really want to better myself & be the best person that I can be!
One more good thing I found out today haha* ... things that I would normally think of as "bad" or off limits, really are not that bad if you pay attention to portion control. For example, today I grilled up some chicken breast, boiled 6 eggs, made a ton of SF jello - all for this week so I can just grab pre-made meals and snacks and not be tempted ;) Well anyways, I also had a bag of soup starter for Clam Chowder. Now I know it sounds soooo bad for you but really, in 1 cup - only 151 calories. Not bad! I guess it all comes donw to just wtaching how MUCH you eat. Now if only I can control that ... hehe*

glad to hear the optimism!!! And you are right! It's all about portions ... it's ok to indulge in the good things as long as they are taken in moderation. And, things like Jello, are mostly water and waste, so it's not too bad (compared to a slice of chocolate chocolate cake :))

yeah! You hit the nail square on the head! With the eggs, try and stay away from the yokes...those are killers if you're watching calories! And I love your attitude, it's awesome!

glad you're so optimistic and keep thinking positively. :)

A recommendation to help with your portion control... try dividing up your portions so you don't question how much to eat and calorie counts. You can get tupperware/rubbermaid type stuff to help with this and they stack in the fridge and free up more space. Also small ziploc bags are good.

It'll takes a little extra work, and purchase of rubbermaid, but will DEFINITELY cut down on overindulgence. It will also cut down on buying snacks when you're out, cause you can pick up one of these small meals and put it right in your purse with a plastic fork. Try it!
