Hi, I joined this site like 2 weeks ago...and then didn't visit again until now, but not that I've gained back 5 pounds I feel like crap and am now going to at least VISIT everday. Darnit.

Here are my "before" pics...I can't wait for "afters":

horrible pic, but probably the closest I have to a "full body" pic. I delete them off the digital as soon as I get them. lol.
Also, do some of you bounce up and down? Like for example, by 5 pounds, and still drop more weight? I feel SO down right now.

Well done for posting your images, I found it hard to post mine.

All I can say is..

Eat all your veggies and fruits
Buy wholegrains (pasta, brown rice, wholegrain bread)
Throw out all of the bad food in your house (so they're not there if you ever crave it)
Do some kind of physical activity at least half an hour a day.
Vary your meals (look at the recipes section :D)
Porridge is good for the morning and keeping you full till lunch
If you crave something, have a 6th of it, or a bite of it.
Allow yourself one thing a week, if not small bites of other things.

Oh and try this for some tips:

You are so pretty!!! I reccomend keeping a calander of your weights. I am a daily weigher and my weight bounces all the time. Espeically in the beginning. It will go up and down and my mood will go right along with it. When I write my weights on a calender I can see where I was last week (usually it's higher), where I was yesterday and I can see how my weight fluctuates on a daily basis... so I know if something is off or if I am right on track. Good luck and thanks for posting pics. Love the cute little chinchilla!!!!:D

GIRLS quit dieting.. U all look so prettyy. I just wonder what wud happen when u all wud be slim n trim.I tired of seeing men fighting for a woman..No More riots pls..

Through this entire weight loss thing, keep in mind that even if you did not lose one pound, you are beautiful!

I have found that not keeping my binge foods in the house or replacing them with better things has helped control what I actually put into my mouth. Also I keep track of all the calories I take in and the exercise I do over at Sparkpeople.com. It's an easy site to use, and I highly recommend it. Also, something that we all lose sight of from time to time is that weight loss, for most people, is a slow process. Sometimes we feel like we are getting nowhere. What I find is that keeping track of small accomplishments along the way will help motivate you. For example. When I started exercising, I could only do it for 10 minutes. After two weeks I was up to 40 minutes. That was kind of a big deal to me. So I remind myself of that. Also for motivation, I made a collage on a posterboard with pictures of different things that represent what I want to accomplish by losing weight... Try different things for motivation, what works for one may not work for another.

:)

5lbs in two weeks ? Either fad dieting, or weigh yourself at the morning ONLY, I gain about 3-4lbs between getting up and after breakfast.

Melly-
You are an incredibly beautiful girl. You certainly do not look like you need to lose 95lbs. But, I've come to realize that I am a very poor judge of how much people weigh. Either way, you look fantastic, and you're going to continue to look great at every stage of your weight loss.
Best Wishes!

weigh yourself only in the morning, and i recommend weighing yourself once a week on the same day of each week. if you weigh yourself monday morning, then weigh yourself the next monday morning, and you've lost weight, you're on target.

weighing myself daily i always fluctuate, for instance, this week
sat: 178
sun: 179
Mon: 177
Tue: 178
Wed: 176
Thu:175
Fri:176
Sat: 174

so i was all over the place, but sat-sat it went from 178-174.

and that's just weighing myself in the mornings!

I weighed myself yesterday morning, and was 176 at 9am, and 180 at 9pm.!

heres a cue to ur problem..
the best time to measure your weight is after u r done with pee n poo without any water or food consumption in the morning. The fluctuations of 2 -4 lbs can be easily produced by consumption of 2 liters of water. 1 lit is approx 1kg in weight ( around 2.2 lbs). secondly make sure u r in ur bday clothes when u take weight. Even a glass of milk ( 300 ml wud raise your weight my around 0.6 lbs).
And, digital weighing scale with maximum load of 350 lbs is ideal.
for me, every morning, i weigh around 192s and by evening time with all the food n water consumption it is around 196s.
with the following steps u wud certainly reduce the errors and make help urself to motivate.
Alwys remember, a lifestyle change is answer to all our problems. ADD lots of salad / vegeterian recipes/ low cholesterol n low fat recipes and u wud be fine sooner or later. Eating a salad before any outdoor activity n before lunch n dinner wud help you to reduce ur appetite.
Iam pretty much sure, in another 9 mths, i would be in the normal BMI category and i wont get over-weight coz of my lifestyle changes. I started off as obese and now iam over weight.

Thanks so much everyone!

Thanks guys! I will def take some little tips from each of you, like ONLY weighing myself in the morning...and not morning, after lunch, and before bed (yeah I'm scale obsessed).
Also, I'll try cutting carbs out more, though I SWEAR by calories, not carbs.
And I will def start a calorie/exercise diary. Thanks for the encouragement and keep up the good work guys!

Hi sweetie!
You are ABSOLUTELY WONDERFULLY GORGEOUS, I just had to say!

Anyway, your weight can fluxuate up to a max of about 7 pounds difference - in a single day! No joke!

However, Yo yo dieting is NOT good for you. When you lose weight by eating less and not working out, you lose fat and muscle. When you gain weight by eating more, you gain only fat! This means that when you gain the weight back, you will have more fat and less muscle in the ratio of fat to muscle than you used to have. I have a problem with yo-yo dieting too. :(

You're a beautiful girl, hun.

Also note that you girls are biologically prone to retaining water at certain times of the month... but im sure u already knew that :p
