Well I just got back from athletics :D but now I'm wondering, can I still get bigger?

Stats: 14 ( nearly 15) 5ft 11.

Well, basically, I'm a good runner, and seem to be generally a good athlete. However, I got a bit lazy nearing the end of last summer, and backed most sport in, but did some weight training, nothing too big, but my diet was only average. Basically had what I needed to grow, but did often have 2 or 3 chocolate bars wrapped around it. A bit of rugby also kept me in okay phsical condition, as well as other school PE lessons (I have GCSE PE so I do 4 per week). So come late last year I had cross country, suprisingly, even though I felt unfit I won it with a 6min 36 2k, and considering it's cross country I figured that that was good. Then this year, although my diet hasn't been much better, I've been doing some more weights and started some gym work. This has got me a fair bit of strength and I'm around 152 lbs (according to my electric scales) although the ones at my gym placed it more around 160. Don't get me wrong, I've kept in fair shape, but nothing special. Basically been learning and lounging on here and other sites ;) love you guys :p

So time to recent weeks, I've decided that my 9 months of resting is over, it was not all bad, got a bit buffer and rested my injuries (they've completely gone). Also I had my first tennis lesson since August on Saturday. As I used to play 20 hours per week I'm naturally good, but was quite suprised at how well I was playing. So now I'm going to be playing twice a week, maybe 4 hours or so in total. School sports are also going to be frequent, tennis matches, I try to avoid cricket, but possibly, and the key word for this topic, Athletics.
I've always been pushed to do it. By everyone. So my friend and I decided to go along. Firstly I would like to say, the members at the club were incredible. They were so friendly, the atmosphere is terrific, and the general feeling there is one of nothing but encouragement. I'm a fairly good middle distance runner, my friend more of a sprinter. So we went into this group that focused on 800 and 1500, it's twice per week. We basically had to do 3x700m, with 3 min gap in between, then 5 min gap then the exercise again. Quite frankly I was shocked. In the groups we were running in I got put into the better one for boys my age (they were mostly year above) and I held my own. Ran some pretty good times, 2.16 x 2, 2.20 x 3. The next day is 'speed day' so basically 200m.

My friend and I walked away deciding we were going to do athletics to get fit, possibly more, then go to the gym and start lifting together. So next year play rugby for a club.

So we have finally got to the point. Although I know you can gain muscle while doing cardio, at the level I'm doing this could be hard. But I would like to ask. Is it possible, that if I was running 5 times per week, but eating huge amounts to get over maintanence, and lifting 3 x per week ( my workouts being said to be good, similar to defrancos skinny bastard program) that I could get fitter, to a high standard, but also muscle, but mainly strength? Would athletics mean to sacrifice it, and would the food keep me from getting fitter? I want to build up power and speed, as well as heaps of endurance. The thing keeping me in it is I don't know how far I can get. I consider myself to be unfit and I'm competing against athletes who train 5x per week plus. Is it possible? Thanks
