Hello!

I am not terrible overweight, but I have gained slowly and steadily over the course of 10-15 years. Looking forward to get those (about 40 lbs) fatcells off my back :)
So I am going to be doing this by juicefasting, it will definitely be an interesting experience!

Goal weight is 155 lbs.

Juicefasting? what's that (I mean, I know it involves juice, and I assume only juice and nothing else). Is it supposed to be a quick weightloss or are you going to be on it for weeks? I ask because I know I couldn't be without real food for weeks!

Good luck anyway!

I have the same question, as Paladin-Cleric. Please don't try to lose weight quickly.. if you lose it quickly, you tend to gain it back quickly too. If you have gained it in a course of 10-15 years, maybe you could change your lifestyle a bit and lose it and never gain it back again :)

Hello Paladin-cleric and Genie, good question both!

I plan on being on this juicefast for at least 30 days, after that I will see what happens.
And i hope i can manage a life style change after this juicefast is done!

weight today: 191.4 lbs
Lbs lost: 1.1

Yes, solid food surely is nice :)

About the weight loss, most of it is water weight coming off i think.
I am not consuming any salt in the juices, and salt binds a lot of water in the body.

Mostly I feel good, but some dizziness and headache today, and a feelings of hunger on and off.

Having done a juicing diet myself before, I'm curious, what are your plans for when it is over? Joe Cross is pretty famous for doing the juicing style, but he adds all of his weight back on and has to juice again to drop weight. When I did it, I had great success but didn't plan for the after so I'm interested in what you've got cooked up for when you return to solids. You have any recipes that you like in particular? Good luck on this. All the dizziness, headaches, etc... usually subside within a week, at least from my experience. Rooting you on!

I suppose going back on solids youd have to expect some weight gain, but i figure if you implemented an immeadiate portion and calorie control and exercise you might have a chance to keep most of it off.

I would suck at this juicefasting, I'm just not built for limiting myself to one type of food (in this case juice) I'd have given up on day 3. lol.

This is true, coming off the juice fast might be the hardest part? from what I have heard many people seem to think so. It would be very easy to just fall back to former bad eating habits.

I have something like a plan, or at least it is starting to form in my mind.

Some points in my plan
- Keep drinking juice, replace a few meals every weeks with juice.
- At work, replace some regular lunches with fruits and veggies, I have tried this and it works really well to have a bunch of apples or grapes in front of your computer :)
- Transition towards more vegetarian/vegan dishes.
- Keep the fat low, so i will try to avoid adding oils and fatty sauces/dressings
- Exclude dairy and bread completely: I do not think these are good for the human body.

So basically I will try to transition towards eating less meats and fats.

And thank you for the encouragements, I feel a lot better today! :waving:

Ironically, day three was probably the hardest day yet! First it gets harder then it get easier :)

Still have feelings of hunger from time to time, can't wait for it to pass. After that it will be smooth sailing hopefully!!

Checking in guys...

Some bumps in the road unfortunately, I have eaten!

I will get back on track for another go tomorrow monday morning!

It took me about a thousand tries to finally quit smoking about a year ago, so I am thinking... could this take a similiar amout of tries before i succeed ?! :)
