Weightlifting with weightloss.

Hi guys, just a quick question.

I am trying to lose around 100 lbs, and appreciate that I will need to weight train aswell as cardio.

I just wondered if I have to increase the weights I lift at a normal rate or just keep to the same weight for some time just to keep muscle but still lose fat at a reasonable rate?
