Weightlifting, whilst on a low calorie diet

Hello, Im after some advice on this, up to now im doing quite well, but i know to build big muscles you need more calories.
At the minute im eating foods that are high in protein etc to help it along, & ive cut out all processed foods anyway, as i may aswell use my chef qualification i picked up in college for something lol - but i dont want to go to the stage where it affects my muscle because im not taking in enough calories.
Are there any suppliments i can take that will counter the low calorie affects? Ive never tried any of them, but would creatine do anything?

Nah, I wouldn't take creatine at the moment. How low are your cals? And what are your stats?
