Weight Training VS Pilates

Oh sorry I forgot to mention. Ok, I'll like to gain muscle resistance and I have sme friends who practice only pilates and get that lean (but they are strong) body.

And I never was fond of lifting weights. I get bored really fast. So pilates seemed a good way to get toned. What do you think?

Depends on your goal, really. If your goal for example, is to develop an anterior pelvic tilt, then pilates is the way to go. If you want to get strong, then weights are the way to go.

So as you see, I'm not a huge fan of pilates. But why do you ask? What do you want to know? If you give us your goals we can help you find out what you should do.
 
Why compare? Do both.

Weight training + Pilates = AWESOME

Weight training + Yoga = AWESOME

Weight training + Dance = AWESOME
 
Some stuff you do in pilates is good, like... those uh leg lift things where you lay on your side and lift a leg in the air over and over. Very good for the gluteus medius. And... well I can't think of any others right now... or ever.
