Weight Training Progress Report (PICS NOW UP!!)

Hey, guys. You've all been so helpful these past few months in helping me learn and get stronger and bigger. I started out at 5'10" and 132 pounds with 7% body fat and am now at 150 pounds with about 10-11% body fat. Every one of my muscles in my upper body has dramatically improved, though I still feel my legs need work. Nevertheless, I'm continuing my diet and work out plan.

I'm planning within a few weeks to change my work out plan to slim down some of the fat that I have gained. I was wondering if any of you had information on how to lose fat while still keeping/gaining muscle mass.

I know cardio is the big fat burner. I just don't want to lose my muscle gains. My friend was weight training and gained a lot but now that he's in endurance track, he's lost a LOT and i don't want that to happen.

PICTURES OF MY PROGRESS:

I started off my weight training working out just once or twice a week and really picked it up as the year went along. By the end of January, I was and still am working out 5 times a week for 30 min periods during school and 3 time a week for 40 min periods after school. I started really working on my diet at the same time and have cut out all sweets, sodas, caffeines, chips, etc. At the end of January, I also began taking protein shakes.

Here I am on November 19th, 2005. I really began picking up the pace here, especially on working my pecs. Around this time, I read a LOT about weigh training and learned SO much that has really helped me improve a lot. This is thanks to many of you who have been so helpful.

Another frontal shot on November 28th, 2005. Not much change. Pecs still very underdeveloped but improving quickly in the outer pecs. Shoulders underdeveloped as well. I feel a bit embarrassed to say but I was pretty proud at this point of my body at that time.

Here you can see a big step up. Pecs a lot more filled in with the upper pec developing as well. Arms increasing in size. This is on December 12th, 2005.

Another pretty big increase in muscle size. Pecs are definately coming in, shoulders developing, abs becoming solid. This is pretty soon after on December 28th, 2005.

Last shot. This is on March 12th, 2006. My pecs, especially the upper pecs are continuing to develop. My abs--I'm pleased that I still have a six pack with all the weight I've gained. My shoulders and arms are getting stronger and more chiseled.

Well that's pretty much it.

Please leave any comments you have. What do you think I need to work on most? What can I do to continue to improve?

Right now, I'm looking to get bigger, stronger shoulders. I'm also working on widening out my lats, which is really coming all SLOWLY. I'm also trying to improve my core and legs--my lower back is so limiting so I really need to strengthen it.

I swear we have the same body. And like me, you need to improve EVERYTHING. Well, not really, but I want to imrpove everything. Good luck toy ou. ;)
 
Yeah your 6 pack is deffinetly getting stronger and bigger I think you should develop your pecs a little more good luck with everything your looking great!
