Weight training for weight loss QUESTIONS.

The weight training forum seemed quite slow and un-responsive so I decided to post here.. A few of you have suggested adding some weight training to my running routine to help me loose weight.

my question however.. is how many reps should I do? targeting what areas?for how long? and how much weight?

I will probably be doing this at home..

thanks. that was quite informative.. however.. once I find a suitable weight.. how long (how many sets) should I go for? 15 min. for each muscle section?

maybe lift for 15 min. then do squats for another 15?

2 sets, around 8-12 reps should be good for each muscle group while you're first starting out should be good. Are you just working with bodyweight exercises? Or do you have free weights?
