Weight loss

Hey guys,
I have a question if someone can answer it for me. I am a male, 5'3, 142 lbs. I have started working out since 3 weeks to lose weight and get in some sort of a tone. I run for 40 minutes everyday and lose around 400 CAL in that. Then i weight lift for 3 days a week. I do Abs Crunches, Chest exercise, Biceps and triceps. My question is that with all this what kinda meal plan should i persue. I am a student and dorm so the food in our food places r not that good. It will be great if someone can suggest a meal plan i should follow to lose weight.

Thank you very much!!!

Take care guys.

lunch and supper: chicken or fish or lean red meat or fish with beans or potatoes or brown rice or veggies

mid morning and mid afternoon snacks: fruits, nuts, cottage cheese, yogurt, pop cans of chicken or salmon or tuna, sandwiches, protein shakes, homemade protein bars, hard boiled eggs, etc

No way - it's actually less than 300 calories. You should even add some more food - maybe some fruit to your oatmeal, or some fresh fruit plain.

Well, depends on your current weight, your height, gender, and fitness goals.

If you're a 5 foot tall female trying to lose fat, I think that is a great breakfast.

If you're a 6 foot tall male trying to gain muscle mass, then no, that's about half of what you should eat for breakfast.

Either way, you're thinking along the right track.
