weight loss/training with strained soleus

I strained my soleus a couple weeks ago. Have been going to PT for light exercises and was told to do whatever I wanted as long as it doesn't hurt. Walking more than snail speed causes a good amoung of pain.
I've started doing pilates but just don't see any weight loss, and I was starting to see it with my 60 min/daily cardio.
Any ideas on how to continue my weight loss/toning with a strained soleus?
