Weight Loss through Cardio Exersize

I'm training my Mom and my Uncle. There goal is weight loss. I'm looking for cardio exersizes (bearcrawls, jumping jacks ect) for weight loss. Please help

Any cardio that gets your heart rate going is going to help.

Running, walking, swimming, jump rope, things like jumping jacks and burpees ... it's all good.

But you want to add in body resistance work and weights if you can, to keep from losing lean muscle along with fat.

Your questions scares me a little. You say you're training your mom and uncle, but are you qualified to do that? Do you know what exercises they can do and not injure themselves. I'm assuming they're older and you're talking about bear crawls. I've done bears crawls before--in high school for wrestling practice. Do you really think a 50+ year old can do this type of training?

First and foremost, since they're older, make sure to clear it with their doctor. Once they're clear, take an assessment of their physical condition. Do they have any injuries you need to worry about? What are their weak points?

Just be careful when training older people as they are more susceptible to injury. Take it slow at first, even if they're eager to proceed. It's for their own safety and well being.

Well said leecordova. I'm big on riding bikes for weight loss. It's low impact for older people and easy...in the begining anyway.
