im struggling to lose anymore weight, ive gone from 200lbs to 140lbs in the last 3 years or so, my bodyfat is now 26%, i want to get it to about 22% but no matter what i do its stuck. i am eating about 1200 cals a day, tracking it on fitday, i have pcos so i know weight loss is probably harder for me than others. i am 5 foot 7 inch female. i have just started some weights twice a week, but im still finding it isnt budging but i feel a bit smaller, could i be gaining a little muscle and losing fat?

How are your workouts? If you're cardio heavy, try switching over to weights. In my experience, using weights means the number on the scale doesn't change but the mirror does(!)

My question is along the same lines as Iain's... What do you typically do in a week for exercise?

i was doing only cardio for the 60lbs but last 6 months its totally stopped, in the last few weeks my boyfriend has persuaded me to do weights, so im doing 2 weight sessions per week and 3 lots of 45 mins of cardio

It sounds like you're on the right track, by changing your routine. I think if you give it a month you'll see results. Perhaps not a big weight drop but I'm sure you'll see a change in the mirror.

You also might need to keep an eye on your nutrition, when lifting you need to be sure you're getting good amounts of protein.

I think you've already taken the right step by changing your routine. As Iain said, now it's about giving it time and seeing what the results are in a month or so!

Changing your routine might help. Also, suggest you try intervals instead of the 45 min. cardio sessions.
