Weight loss shakes?

I replace my breakfast with the Shakeology shake, it fills me up pretty good and last me until lunch time. I usually put in some fruits to make it last a little longer as well as change up the taste a little, driniking the same taste shake every day can get a lil boring. I ve tried many different shakes from Herbalife to other meal replacement shakes, but the one i find fills you up the most and actually helps me lose weight is the shakology shake, most other shaked either gave me the munchies or i was hungry about 30 min after drinking the shake. I already lost weight and it also increased my energy level.

Shakeology

So I got shakeology today and am doing the "cleanse" to jumpstart into p90x and I must say it tastes pretty awful. I don't know if it's just me, maybe it will taste better with milk but in the cleanse you can only mix with water so..hmm

has anyone else done the shakeology cleanse? how did yall feel?

You can use Herbalife's Meal Replacement SHAKE. It has 84 nutritions without Saturated Fat and Sugar. It makes you feel full and give you tons of energy. If you drink 1 shake/day, you know you are not missing anything in your body. For diet people, drink 2shakes/day + 1 colorful meal in the evening.

How about you just leave all that crap out of your body and eat proper food instead? The shakes are NEVER as good as proper, healthy nutrition, no matter what some shake-pusher is trying to tell you. Plus, unless you drink that stuff until the day you die, you will put the weight back on as soon as you go off the shakes.
Plus, are you really willing to pay through the nose for this nonsense, paying about ten times of what the stuff is worth because every 'distributor' adds a bit of something for themselves??

Also, considering she has a financial stake in pushing these shakes to you..do you really take her word for it?

I don't know. But all I know is I loss 6kg in the 1st month and 10kg in 2 months. It takes me 2 more months to keep maintainance my weight to avoid the weight is back on. My mom is also using Herbalife's diet program and she loss 14kg in 3 months. Is that Amazing? And I have realised that I have been paying only $5/day:)

If you really want to replace a meal with a shake I suggest making it yourself. I use fruit, soy milk, soy yogurt. Here is a simple recipe I use.

Banana
1 cup of soy yogurt
1 cup of soy milk
Ground flax seed
Blueberries
Strawberries
Mango

You can use whatever fruit you like, but I make sure I put a banana in it. Calories in bananas range from 72-135, I normally use a large banana and that is about 120 calories. The cup of yogurt is 150 calories. The soy milk is about 120. The rest of the fruit doesn't have much calories. So your looking at about a 450 calories shake. If you need more calories eat some nuts. I base this on the 4-6 small meals I eat per day.

So you paid $ 300 for something that you could have done easily on your own?

Well...to each their own I guess.

You forget, she paid 300 but she is now trying to get others to pay. That way it was never really a loss but pure gain...by tricking other people.

Can you tell I have a real grudge again people who come on this forum to sell stuff?

I don't understand how anyone can stick to a shake diet. (For anyone pushing the stuff, don't bother with me, I'm not interested, I'm doing fine on my own) They leave me feeling hungry a short time later and thus I eat more anyway, and bored (and thus likely to snack).
