So, Ive been working out since May. Trying to lose weight for my senior year of highschool
and since May ive managed to lose 12 pounds. I was 180 and am now approximately 168.I started at the end of May but had to stop at the beginning of June because I developed a cyst and had to get it removed with surgery. Which meant bedrest for a good 3 - 4 weeks. Funny thing is, before I was put on bedrest I was about 177. After surgery and bedrest I was down to about 173.
So I started working out again and then mid-july I had to go back for part two of my surgery

At the end of July I started working out again. Not as heavily as I did before, but still some action. As of now, I weigh 168 ish and I can't help but feel as though Ive hit a weight loss plateau. I know it hasn't been THAT long but with the amount of calories Ive been burning and cutting down on. I should have lost a good 2-4 pounds.
I'm gonna continue working out when I have the time(running treadmill, and minor weight training).
What should I do to break through this plateau? Should I wait it out? Does a plateau go away on its own in time?
Please help!
